WNRP (NewsRadio 1620) is licensed to Gulf Breeze, Florida and serves the greater Pensacola area. It was built in 2003 in the City of Pensacola on a new 180-foot tower using a folded unipole antenna. WNRP is a licensed to broadcast in high-quality HD Radio. WNRP does not, however, broadcast in HD at this time.
In late 2005, Dave and Mary Hoxeng debuted "Classic Country AM1620" at a full-power of 10,000 watts.
In September 2007, NewsRadio 1620 was created with priorities of Live Talk and Local Talk as well as Fox Radio news twice an hour. NewsRadio 1620 operates in the Expanded Band and is the most powerful AM station in Pensacola with 10,000 watts day and 1,000 watts night.
