Afternoon News Anchor

Laura McKay has over twenty years experience in both radio and television broadcasting. She attended high school at the Alabama School of Fine Arts in Birmingham, and college at Auburn University in Montgomery. Most recently, she worked for KOA Radio, a 50,000-watt news/talk station in Denver where she was a news anchor as well as a talk show host. Prior to KOA, Laura worked for a FOX owned and operated station, also in Denver, for six years where she was awarded an Emmy by the Colorado Broadcaster’s Association.

Laura’s career began in Montgomery, Alabama, with WAIQ, a PBS station. She later took on her first News Director position with WRJM Radio in Troy, Alabama. As her career developed, she worked in Arkansas, North Carolina, and Tennessee before moving to Denver, where she lived until moving to Pensacola in October 2006.
