Branden Rathert is an award winning news anchor from St. Louis, MO. Both of his parents were jet mechanics in the USAF, so he became accustomed to moving around the country on a regular basis. Now, he's chosen to call Pensacola home!
The bulk of his career has been hosting mornings where his unique sense of perception of worldly and local events consistently led him to number 1 ratings. He has been cited numerous times in his career for his outstanding charity work. While he has devoted time and effort to various causes, his favorite is "Branden Rathert's 60 Hours to Fight Hunger" which he conceived, developed, created, and executed in Twin Falls, Idaho. This annual Thanksgiving event has helped to feed close to 20,000 families since 200, and was the LARGEST food fundraiser in the entire state. Branden was also awarded the "Volunteer of the Year" award by the American Red Cross for his charitable efforts following the horrific events of September 11, 2001.
Despite the enormous amount of time Branden dedicates to his show, he finds time to hike, explore, and travel for skiing. He especially enjoys ski trips that he takes with his 17 year old son, who is an honor student. Branden also spent several years as a stand-up comedian.
